SLX™ Cast Wrap
Premium Cast Digital Film with FLITE Technology™
SLX™ Cast Wrap is a 2-mil (50 micron) premium gloss white repositionable cast film with FLITE Technology™. Designed for full and partial vehicle and fleet applications, the film allows for a fast install, conforming around rivets, complex curves and deep channels with ease. FLITE Technology is a lite contact system allowing graphics to float over a substrate until firm pressure is applied. It guarantees the fastest installation while ensuring long-term bond and clean removability. SLX Cast Wrap has a tinted, permanent pressure-sensitive adhesive providing excellent opacity. The low profile, air-egress liner aids with easy installation, resulting in a smooth finish. Arlon strongly recommends the use of Series 3270 Overlaminate when using SLX Cast Wrap for optimum performance of the film. Series 3210 or Series 3220 are also compatible overlaminates. SLX Cast Wrap is rated for outdoor durability up to 7 years (unprinted). Printed durability is dependent on the ink system used.

Optimum Performance
Actual weathering durability depends on surface preparation, surface maintenance and exposure conditions. Successful weather resistance is characterized by the retention of legibility. SLX Cast Wrap will resist weathering best when applied to vertical or upper outboard angles rather than horizontal surfaces due to the nature of less UV exposure and moisture, as well as other contaminants. Use heat and/or chemicals when removing graphics from vehicle (see Installer Handbook for details).
Storage & Maintenance
Storing vinyl graphics in covered areas will help prolong the life of the vinyl by limiting its exposure to damaging elements such as sunlight and rain. Protecting a wrapped car in the garage can keep it sheltered from all types of weather and harmful pollution, both of which could wear out the horizontal surfaces of the car and cause damage to the paint underneath. Vinyl that starts to brown or show discoloration has been negatively affected by acidic pollutants and if not immediately removed could stain the paint. Taking extra steps to keep the vinyl covered when not in use will help extend the life of the vinyl and keep the car looking as good as it did when it was first wrapped.
