Urban Prints, a dynamic and innovative vehicle wrap company, recently took on an exciting project: their team transformed a McLaren into a visually stunning, ready for the road masterpiece. With the help of Arlon’s materials, the team delivered a striking design that perfectly balanced performance with style. Urban Prints was approached by a returning client who had previously relied on their expertise with another race car wrap. This time, he wanted his McLaren to be an absolute showstopper – making a bold statement both on and off the racetrack. The goal was to develop a custom wrap that emphasises the car’s specific design while maintaining the sleek and sophisticated look.
For the overall design, Urban Prints selected a mix of Arlon Premium Colour Change films in various colours and SLX+ with a satin finish. Andy, Fleet Branding Manager at Urban Prints, commented on the materials, stating, ‘it’s so easy to work with,’ emphasising their seamless application as being the main reason behind the material choice. The design incorporated Premium Colour Change in Matte Aluminium Grey for the rear section to elevate the appearance, Gloss Light Blue to create highlights on the unique features of the car itself, a bit of Gloss Black and Gloss White for finishing touches and contrast, and SLX+ with satin laminate for the bonnet and the interior doors. The final look was beyond impressive and ‘exceeded expectations’, as shared by Urban Prints team.
Together with the McLaren, Urban Prints extended their design expertise to wrap a new tow vehicle for the same client. With the same design approach, they ensured a cohesive visual identity across the collection, showcasing the team’s dedication to delivering consistent, high-quality results.
